LinkedWords - Web 2.0 Link Mayhem

This looks like a massive project. The ultimate linking mayhem.

LinkedWords aims to provide an overview of contextually linked web pages - sorted by their individual linking context. Sort of a pragmatic approach to Google page relevancy in a Web 2.0 age.

If we can believe their website, over 30,000,000 terms are indexed so far. But is this a valid business model or just a link bait?

Young company blog worth reading

This is not a 17yr old Web 2.0 teenie who has "been there, done that. Ya, man!" blogging here. Bare Naked App is the blog of Carson System's, the makers of DropBox/DropSend.

Their blog especially deals with their latest web app, "Amigo", which works out to be a communication and business platform for newsletter ads. On the one side of the platform: Newsletter Publishers; Advertisers on the other side. Simple concept, yet one of the few Web 2.0 sites with an instant business concept.

One of the few blogs actually worth reading, plus it is safe for work (even though the title might imply it is not). These guys don't talk about doing something, they do it and talk about it later on. Big difference in a "writer world".

Video capture software for non-Direct3D games

When capturing Direct3D games, the choice is obvious: FRAPS. When not in such an environment, CamStudio does the best job out of all contenders. This lightweight program was the only one to capture windowed games like Continuum at full res without framerate issues.

Use AVI output for the best capturing performance.
